blackberry_smoothie_250It has been a while yet again… I guess school has taken over lately but I am pretty sure this recipe will make up for it. How does a blackberry/ ice cream smoothie sound to you? It sounds amazing and I found this website: which has all sorts of yummy smoothie recipes. Anyway I hope you find this as good as it sounds, and I am about to make it after I post this! I am pretty excited about it.  To get started you will need:1/2 cup blackberries(fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
1/2 banana
1/2 cup milk once you have all of this ingredients, place it in a blender with only the milk, banana and blackberries first. After a slushy texture starts to form it is best to then add the vanilla ice cream! Blend until smooth, serve and enjoy!

A New Start

I apologize for not being so up-to-date on this. Lately I have had little time to sit down and write. Summer has been good, but it is time to start fresh and those of you who have to start school again (I am going into my second week now) I am sure that you are having a hard time adjusting, What better way to start the day then a fresh and healthy smoothie. Today I am going to give you a number of smoothies that I think are perfect for a quick mo

rning boost. I will post the website at the bottom of this post so that you can go there yourself! Here you go!

1. Pineapple!

20 oz Unsweetened pineapple chunks

  • 1 c Buttermilk
  • 2 ts Vanilla extract
  • 2 ts Liquid sweetener
  • Mint Leaves–Optional

Drain pineapple, reser

ving 1/2 cup juice. Freeze pineapple chunks. 
Place juice, buttermilk, vanilla, sweetener and frozen pineapple into a blender 
container. Blend until smooth.
Pour into glasses and garn ish with mint if desired

2. Peach!

  • 1 c Chilled peach nectar
  • 1/2 c Milk
  • 1 Container (6 ounces) peach yogurt
  • Ground nutmeg

Place nectar, milk and yogurt in blender. Cover and blend on high speed
about 30 secon

ds or until smooth. Sprinkle with nutmeg. 2 servings
(about 1-1/4 cups each); 180 calories per serving.

3. Fruit mix!

  • 1 Cup Watermelon; Cut Up
  • 1 Cup Cantaloupe Or Honeydew;
  • 1 Cup Pineapple; Cut Up
  • 1 Cup Mango; Cut Up
  • 1 Cup Strawberries; Halved
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Orange Juice
  • Crushed Ice

Mix all ingredients except ice. Fill blender container 1/2 full of mixture.
Add crushed ice to fill to the top. Cover and blend on high speed 
until of a uniform consistency. Repeat with remaining mixture.
Serve immediately; garnish with fruit, if desired. Serves 6.

ingredients!I hope you have enjoyed this blog so far. I am hoping to continue to update it on a regular basis but I also would love to hear your feedback. I am making this blog for your benefit and I would really love to hear about some of your suggestions and comments. In the next week feel free to give any ideas to me about great smoothies that you would like to share. I would appreciate it greatly. A Refreshing Sip!

pineappleToday I want to make a post about a smoothie that is just easy and made up on the spot. This heat wave most definitely requires a nice cold smoothie so I want to make a smoothie that helps make the heat bearable. This smoothie is not made from all fresh fruit (which for some, may be a down side) but I still think it will be delicious. For a cold smoothie, I really like using Dole, 100% juice (the pineapple juice). This is a frozen juice made by dole but by putting this into your smoothie, it always adds a fresh and fruity boost where you can’t go wrong with it. I highly recommend frozen fruit in this hot weather. It always cools you down and makes a tasty drink as well. If you prefer the organic frozen fruit, your best bet would be at whole foods. All right, I think I have said enough about the frozen fruit so let’s get started by making a cold and refreshing smoothie!


Dole Pineapple juice, 100% juice


3 tblsp Frozen or fresh papaya chunks

1tablespoon sugar

1 banana

5 ice cubes

½ cup coconut juice (optional)

Now, in order to get started, mix the frozen juice with water until it tastes and looks like normal juice. Place all the fruit in the blender (banana, pineapple chunks) then place the sugar and ice cubes in. Now poor the pineapple juice that you just made into the blender and put just enough so that it is level with the rest of the ingredients. You can also put some coconut juice in if you like! Now blend it all up until smooth! Serve and enjoy!

A Papaya Blast!

Papaya Smoothie!I am really into papaya at the moment and have been thinking about posting about a papaya smoothie for a while. It probably all started when I went to Mexico and enjoyed a fresh papaya smoothie or juice every morning with my breakfast. I discovered this website where I got this recipe. I will post the website at the bottom of this post for you to check out for yourself!

It is warm outside and nothing seems better than a papaya smoothie. I understand that it is a smoothie with a very distinctive taste, but if you like papayas, today is your lucky day. When you make a papaya smoothie, it usually tastes better if the papaya itself is fresh. A fresh papaya offers a juicier sweeter taste than if it were frozen. If you do not have a fresh papaya, a frozen one will work just as fine. In order to make this smoothie you will need a papaya or two cups frozen chopped papaya, you will need pineapple juice and milk, you will also need ½ of a banana, ice, honey and fresh limejuice. If you are missing any of these ingredients, you should not proceed. However if you do not have honey but you do have sugar, sugar will be a fine substitute for honey. Lets get started! I will list the ingredients below so it is easier for you to see! This smoothie is delicious and takes little time to make so I hope you enjoy making and drinking it! Here are the ingredients:

2 cups of chopped, peeled and seeded papayas

1 cup of chilled pineapple juice

½ cup of milk

½ cup of a sliced banana

4 ice cubes

1 tablespoon of honey (or sugar if necessary)

2 tablespoons of fresh limejuice!

Now take the ingredients and place it all into a blender, blend until it is smooth and serve! Enjoy!

BERRY BLAST!Lately, I haven’t been very up-to-date on this smoothie blog, and also haven’t come across a smoothie in a while. Luckily I was flipping through an “In Style” Magazine and noticed this recipe that looked pretty yummy! Summer is finally here officially! That defiantly gives me a reason to give everyone a new smoothie. I hope that you have been enjoying all the smoothies that have already been posted, and feedback is always helpful. Please let me know if you have discovered a really great smoothie because I am always looking for more and ideas are also helpful! Today I chose this smoothie because it tastes great, and it is not too difficult to make. Let’s get started by making sure you have all of the ingredients in hand and ready to make this fabulous smoothie! All right here it is: Raspberries, Blackberries, Strawberries, Blueberries, Bananas, Pineapple and ice! If you have all of this follow the next instructions.

1-cup blackberries

10 strawberries

1-cup blueberries

2 bananas

½ pineapple (cut up)

1-cup ice cubes.

Take all of this, cut it up and put it in the blender. Pulse in a blender until smooth! Serve it fresh and chilled, enjoy!

Vanilla Time!

Vanilla MilkshakePreviously I wrote about a chocolate milkshake. Personally, I love chocolate milkshakes, they are so delicious. I know that I am not the only one who thinks this, but I also understand that vanilla is a very popular pick as well. Vanilla is one of those flavors that you can almost never go wrong with. Everyone seems to enjoy it, so that is why I thought it would be a perfect recipe to give out because I am pretty sure it will come into good use. The vanilla milkshake recipe is very simple, and easy to make. This is yet another good reason to make one. I had mentioned earlier about how chocolate milkshakes (well I should say milkshakes in general) are not that great for you. Once in a while though, I think it is a perfect treat to give to yourself or to your friends. Vanilla milkshakes can go perfect with your dinner, or a simple dessert. I just gave you my opinion about vanilla milkshakes; I think you probably can see that I love smoothies and milkshakes by now. What do you think? Do you like milkshakes or smoothies? I am more then open to hearing your opinions. I hope this recipe comes in hand over this summer! Here are the ingredients in order to proceed in making the delicious milkshake. Feel free to add any berries, to make it extra special. I love adding raspberries to the top to give it an extra special touch to it. Be creative!

4 cups of vanilla ice cream

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

8 tablespoons sugar

2 cups milk and less for a thicker milkshake!

Once you have collected all of the ingredients, place into a blender, and blend for 1-2 minutes or until it is smooth and enjoy! This is sure to give you that extra boost!

Pineapple Paradise!

pineappleWhat could sound more inviting than a fresh pineapple smoothie? This just sounded so delicious to me. When ever I visit the Caribbean and Mexico, I am sure to have a pineapple blend. Pineapple is just so refreshing. The summer can bring some pretty intense heat and what better way to live in it than to sip down a cold and fresh pineapple smoothie. I hope if you are just excited about the idea then I am. Pineapple is one of my favorite fruits. I love the sweet taste, the bright color and everything else about it. The one disadvantage is that it is a little hard to serve because of its rough skin. After you cut it up, the taste definitely make up for the hard process of cutting it up. Today I was reading this website that I have listed below for you to view if you like. It mentioned that pineapple and orange taste very well together! I was more than pleased to see that they gave a recipe for a pineapple and orange smoothie as well! This recipe would be perfect to share with people, because I am sure that everyone would be grateful to have a pineapple orange smoothie recipe at their fingertips. So please give me some feedback!

Do you like pineapple? If so I will find more recipes with it. If not, I will take that into serious consideration and not post anything about pineapple again! Having said that, I will give you the ingredients and how to make it. Here are the ingredients:

1 sweet orange peeled and sliced
1/2 cup sliced fresh pineapple
1/2 a banana
1/2 cup of orange-pineapple juice or banana-orange-pineapple juice
1/2 cup of ice

If you have all of this, place it into a blender, blend until smooth! You shouldn’t need to add any additional sweetener because with the juice and the fruit, it should be sweet enough.

A Simple Blend

smoothiedfgdsgdsIn the past, I have been giving posts mostly that I have found, and require a lot of ingredients. Today I want to give you a smoothie that will take hardly any time to make and have very few ingredients, just enough to cool you down and enjoy. Because summer is nearly here, and cold drinks are what you are looking for, I want to give you a recipe that will taste good but very simple. This recipe will be the perfect solution when you are hot and tired and don’t have the time to take your time and make a really fancy smoothie. Having said that, I thought of some ingredients that I know you will most likely have in your fridge. Let’s start by double checking and making sure you do have the right ingredients. First things first, so I am going to start with two bananas. The banana is a very popular item in most smoothies because of is soft texture and sweet taste. You can almost never go wrong with that! Then, let’s had a spoon full of honey to make that sweetness to perfection. If you do not have honey, no worries, a spoon full of sugar will serve the same purpose. Now add some strawberries. If you are out, any berry will serve. Black berries can also work especially since by the end of the season they are everywhere! Now last step, pour some milk in and you have it! I will list the ingredients below so it is easier for you to see. If the smoothie comes out to thin, don’t be afraid to had some vanilla, berry or plain yogurt. That usually will do the trick!

List of ingredients:

2 bananas

½ cup of berries

A spoon of honey or sugar

1 cup of milk

yogurt (optional)

Place all of the ingredients into a blender, blend on high for about 2 minutes, or until smooth. Serve and enjoy!


A Green Smoothie!

green smoothie!I decided to give you a smoothie recipe to you that is a very healthy choice. I understand that my last post was about a chocolate smoothie, yes, the complete opposite of the smoothie I am about to share with you.  Because summer is just around the corner, and all that unhealthy yet delicious ice cream and milkshakes, or whatever it may be is everywhere, I decided to give you an alternative. Having said that, I am posting a green smoothie. I know! How could you go wrong with that? The smoothie consists of these ingredients: green grapes, an orange, pear, banana, kale, water and ice! If you do have all of these ingredients please continue to read! If not, and you would like to make this smoothie, I highly advice that you go get them. All right. I think that most of you will not want to try this because it is indeed a green smoothie, and the title alone probably gives you an icky feeling. Relax, it is just a smoothie and it won’t hurt. This smoothie is really yummy because the greens are disguised by the delicious banana, pear, grape and orange! So please, have no worries, this smoothie will taste better than you think. I just want to make sure that I put a few recipes that are genuinely healthy. It is important for everyone to eat leafy greens, and many people dread it. That is why I think this smoothie is a perfect alternative because you are putting all those healthy ingredients into one healthy and nutritious smoothie. This smoothie is also good for young children you does not like greens in general. This smoothie is the right thing. It tastes good and is great for you!

 The procedure in order to make this smoothie is very easy. Simply just put the ingredients listed below into your blender and blend on high power for 1-2 minutes. Server fresh and enjoy!

1 cup green grapes

1 orange, peeled

1/2 Bartlett pear

1 (120 g) banana, fresh or frozen

1 cup kale

1/2 cup water

2 cups ice cubes
