Sometimes waking up is hard, when breakfast sounds unappealing, but that is about to change. I am not a morning person but when I wake up early and have a smoothie everything changes. Real fruit smoothies offer so much. Fruit is a natural energy booster and very healthy. If your tired in the morning, it doesn’t take much energy to throw in: 1 banana, a cup of fresh blueberries, and a handful of raspberries, some protein powder if wanted or necessary and add any more fruit that you like, no need to add any sugar because the fruit offers enough natural sweetness and it just makes it even healthier without sugar! Blend it up and serve! I’m sure you will feel healthier and happier!

THE HOT PART OF WINTER!
It’s so cold out. It is now the time of season to spend your weekends sitting by a warm fire, and enjoying the snow (if your near any). Tea is always so good, but a sweeter beverage would have to be a warm mug of hot chocolate with some melted marsh mellows or a dap of whipped cream. I highly advise you to make some hot chocolate right now and just enjoy it. Make the winter enjoyable, sweet and warm! Enjoy!

A COLD DRINK IN COLD WEATHER!
Hopefully you are staying warm in this cold weather, and be careful not to catch a cold. I know a smoothie would not be a solution to that, but they still taste good as long as your warm, and indoors! Try this, take some strawberry ice cream (preferably organic) add milk, a banana, raspberries and some honey, blend it up and that is one good tasting thing! Enjoy and tell me if you liked it!

Pineapple…. yumm!
I am dedicating this post to a friend of mine, Pat. He attempted to make a pineapple smoothie last weekend but had a few difficulties; hopefully this will help him out a little bit. First of all, it says a half a cup of frozen pineapple chunks (not a whole can)! And here is how to make it. Get a blender; add 2 cups of lemonade, 1 cup of lemon yogurt, 1 1/2 cups of frozen pineapple chunks and 1 cup of pineapple sherbet. Put all of these ingredients into a blender and blend on low for 1 minute and high on the next minute…or until smooth, serve, drink and enjoy!

A VARIETY OF SMOOTHIES… and a JUNGLE SMOOTHIE!
How about some tropical flavors in this hot weather? I have found this website and it posted an article just about smoothies! They all sound so great but I think this one pretty much beats the rest right now… A jungle smoothie. I think that sounds divine, but here is the link so that you can look at ALL of these fantastic smoothie recipes: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/29828/tropical_smoothie_recipes.html?cat=22
I hope you enjoy them. Here is the jungle smoothie:
1 medium peeled mango, seeded and diced
1 medium ripe papaya, peeled and diced
1 medium kiwi, peeled and sliced
1 ripe banana
1 cup lowfat plain or vanilla yogurt
ground cloves
Place all fruits in blender or food processor. Add yogurt. Cover and blend until smooth. If youlike a thinner smoothie, use 1/2 cup lowfat milk and 1/2 cup yogurt instead of 1 cup yogurt. Add a sprinkle of ground cloves to top when serving.
I will continue posting different websites and I will also post some more of my own in the future, again, if you have any comments or suggestions I love to here it! I also appreciate some of YOUR own recipes if you are willing to share! It would be so nice! Thank you!

A BlACKBERRY SWIRL!
It has been a while yet again… I guess school has taken over lately but I am pretty sure this recipe will make up for it. How does a blackberry/ ice cream smoothie sound to you? It sounds amazing and I found this website: http://www.smoothie-recipes.com/fruit/blackberry.html which has all sorts of yummy smoothie recipes. Anyway I hope you find this as good as it sounds, and I am about to make it after I post this! I am pretty excited about it. To get started you will need:1/2 cup blackberries(fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
1/2 banana
1/2 cup milk once you have all of this ingredients, place it in a blender with only the milk, banana and blackberries first. After a slushy texture starts to form it is best to then add the vanilla ice cream! Blend until smooth, serve and enjoy!
